What is the CollegeTreasure.com Scholarship?
This award is part of our ongoing mission to help students get into and pay for the college of their dreams. One lucky student will win a $1,000 scholarship paid directly to his or her college.  This is in addition to money the student may receive from the college. We are also proud to announce the University of New Haven CollegeTreasure.com Scholarship. The University of New Haven will offer a $1,000 scholarship to one student who applies to the college after finding out about it on CollegeTreasure.com.  We expect to add other scholarships so please check back. 

Who can apply for this scholarship?
Any 10th-12th grade high school student or parent of high school student. The student must be at least 15 years old and have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA. Further, the student must be a U.S. Resident or Citizen. 

How do I apply?
You simply need to create an account on www.collegetreasure.com. 

When is the deadline?
The scholarship is awarded bi-annually. The next deadline is February 15, 2010.

How can I use the award?
The award must be used for tuition or tuition-related fees, textbooks, or room and board at an accredited college or university in the United States. Award range: $500 to $1,000 per award.

How are the winners selected?
One winner will be randomly selected from all people who create an account between August 16, 2009 and February 15, 2010.

How do I know if I'm a winner?
The winner will be notified within two weeks of the close of the contest.  The winner will be notified by email, phone, and or mail.  The winner will then be posted on the website within one month of the close of the contest.
